A Good Loop

It is a good second day. I say good, I mean first of all, no more heavy weights on our shoulders. We started out from Tower Hill and walked a large circle through the city. The trip is beginning to make a great deal of sense to me and so far the experience (the quest, as Tung puts it) has been nothing but extrodinary in countless ways.

my shoes

I am leaving for London on the 5th. Going to the airport is a problem at the moment but somehow I will just have to make it there for sure. Now I think about it, the trip hasn't been planned out(with the exception of Switzerland), not even a bit. But do I absolutely need to? Friends have been suggesting travel books based on personal experiences which seem to be more than adequate to keep handy. I see the appeal, but well... I would rather wander at my own pace. On another note, being someone who carries a camera 24/7, "I AM A TOURIST!" will be written all over my face.

Dr. Flamingo

Dim sum in the morning and Lotus at night. What a day!

The new lens also does well for animal shots. I could hide my presence better by being further away from the object. Along with a few ninja moves I am seeing lots of random-people portrait shots in the near future.

Canon Zoom Lens EF-S 55-250mm has brought it closer

The anticipation has becoming more manifested ever since I took my last piece of paper out of the studio and concluded the semester with a satisfying applause session in my head. After all, I do believe the semester was a success. All of a sudden, there's time to plan now. The new lens came yesterday but I still need to get the remote switch from a local Ritz Camera.

The new lens works well for distant objects. However, it's already apparent to me now that I would have to switching back and forth between my two lenses constantly. 18-55mm is suitable for scenery shots with broader range of surroundings while 55-250mm is great for details. So far, I've been preferring scenery shots over close-ups. This will be a great opportunity to practice something unfamiliar. The world is big and small at the same time and both interpretations leads to messages which are worthy of discovering.

The value of things is directly linked with how one uses his/her lenses.
