The Eyes of the World

Sorry current non-retina display users, the world is moving on, and sorry for not being able to fully deliver you the message of the above image. As I learned about the real deal of Apple's retina display since 72 hours ago, it simply is going to be the future. For better or for worse, human as a species keeps inventing and interestingly enough, almost all eventually will get used to the idea of becoming a part of the new era. Whatever it is. Nothing wrong with that, I am just rambling. But what if our ancestors took a whole different approach in how they intend to realize the future of the world? Instead of creating computers, a way of communicating with animals is learnt. Instead of creating ways to be apart from one another, a way of planting everlasting bond is embedded into our hearts.

Scale In Need

Many thanks to Maily and Jose for organizing a Sunday picnic at Perdana Botanical Gardens. The environment is very nice and well maintained. I have been living in Kuala Lumpur for almost three years now, however, the existence of this garden-in-the-city was unknown to me until the picnic invitation was sent to me. Will go visit many times more.

We Were The

A peculiar day it was. Whatsapp disconnected my account with my previous (US) registered number first thing in the morning. I suppose it was bound to happen sometime. Friends were informed by me with my current (Malaysia) number. Certain things were lost and the whole day felt a bit "strange" afterwards. Luckily, I went to a very good Mexican restaurant LA MEXICANA with friends for a dinner party. The atmosphere was lively and different from my usual hangouts. I walked a bit prior to and after the dinner on a street I'd never walked on in KL. Night was surprisingly nice and content. How I wished there's a longer path I could take and wandered more.

These Hours

This is a somewhat predictable movie on another end-of-the-world scenario but one that is, nonetheless, very powerful. Having said that, the story does present a couple of surprising moments which gives more than enough materials to turn it into a keep worthy movie for me. The last segment of the film challenged me in a very unexpected way and made my brain accelerate so fast that as if "These Final Hours" are as real as destiny.

Bad Dreams Always Come To An End

A photographer remembers the untold stories behind each shot, more or less. And sometimes, quite rarely, all the things which are essential to guide the photographer to that nearly perfect moment are much more worthy than the resulting picture itself. The photographer then, of course, gain sole possession of such memory.

I've always believed that "being a photographer is a lonely career", then only today, I truly realized just how rich the experience could be.

It has been such a long time since the last time I prepared this dish in Kuala Lumpur, prehaps in 2012 and/or early 2013. I was the "stone chef", I still am. I assume all the facts and memories are still floating there in mid air waiting for me to reach and collect. It is not possible to remember everything at every instant. (How can I be so sure?) In a way, such defect in our brains is a good thing. We simply can not comprehend. (How can we be so sure?)
